Nostradamus Kids Club

Whilst the Commonwealth Games may enable amazing athletes to realise their potential, historically major sporting events cause significant environmental impacts on our world. Climate emergency is real and threatens every child’s present and future.

As a response to this Nostradamus Kids Club has been co-created with artists and a chorus of young ones. Using the freedom found in dance, rave and festival culture we’ve created a symphony of teen prophets whose predictions about climate disaster are ignored by stupid adults.

In line with Glasgow’s great history of protests and parties Nostradamus Kids Club is a moment to expose children’s struggle to exercise political agency.

We made this work in 12 days via a kamikaze process with 10 young people and 4 performance artists. It follows a DIY aesthetic, showcasing accelerated co-creation on a handmade scale.

Nostradamus Kids Club: Luci, Finn, Sorley, Pip, Viktoria, Katie, Sally, August, Isaac and Albie.
